Back to School with KLEAN KANTEEN

Klean Kanteen Insulated Wide Mouth Bottles

Klean Kanteen just keeps pumping out one good idea after another.  I can't imagine why anyone would opt for paper or plastic cups when these are available.  The latest?  Cool new insulated wide mouth bottles in wonderful colors that will keep your coffee hot and your iced tea cold.

I love the spill proof lid design which lets me slip a finger through the loop while I have my hands full.  It's also stainless steel on the inside which keeps your beverage from ever touching any plastic.  And when you get to your destination, there is another optional cafe lid which converts your bottle to a to-go style mug with a sip lid.  These would be fabulous for travel, camping, hiking, and just heading off to work or school with a comforting hot drink.

The smaller sizes would work for a food container, keeping a soup warm for instance.  The stainless won't absorb flavors or odors so you can easily change it up without tasting what was in there before.  The wide mouth makes cleaning easy and did I mention how good looking these things are?  I've been a fan of Klean Kanteen since they came out and I can't wait to see what they come up with next.  Find them HERE.

Klean Kanteen's New Plastic Free Bottles

Klean Kanteen has come out with some new bottles that are completely plastic free.  Not only that, but they are beautiful.  The KLEAN KANTEEN REFLECT has taken the water bottle to a new level, look at that gorgeous bamboo lid. Artful green function, yes!  No nasty chemicals to worry about here, just stainless steel, sustainable bamboo, and food grade silicone.

They purposely left off any paint to avoid scratched bottles ending up in recycling bins or landfills.  The logo is etched on and won't scratch off, brilliant. I'm wild for the lid, it makes the bottle scream adventure to me.  I can picture this bottle in a saddle bag on an expedition, in someone's pack on safari in the 1930's, or in a messenger bag on a bullet train.  It is old world and very modern all at the same time. 

I don't fool around with plastic at all, we know that it is not just BPA we need to worry about, so why take the chance?  All my bottles are stainless or glass.  Stainless is the best for more active situations like biking, traveling and camping, particularly if you have children around.

Klean Kanteen has come a long way since it's inception.  I used to buy their sippy cups for my son.  He still uses them (with a different lid) four years later, that's how well they endure.  Just be careful if you have them in a side pocket of your pack, because if you slam it down hard on the ground, you can get little dents in the bottom.   I took this bottle on a recent trip and it fit perfectly in my pack and was the right amount of water to have with me, I was grateful I brought it.  I think the Reflect might just be my favorite water bottle yet.  It's Earth Day, treat yourself!  Find it HERE.

Product Review: Klean Kanteen

Want to avoid BPA in your drinks? Klean Kanteen bottles are wonderful. They are non-toxic, non-leaching light weight stainless steel bottles in various sizes, even sippy cups! I have several and use them all the time. No plastic aftertaste, and they look cool. They offer different types of caps, including one with polycarbonate plastic (that's the stuff with BPA which the company actually cautions you about--a good thing, they're honest) so you can decide for yourself if a moment on the lips is dangerous or not. I prefer to avoid it altogether, but if you don't, at least your liquid isn't sitting in a bottle leaching the BPA.

This is also a great way to save money. Just fill your favorite beverage up from a more economical container at home and you're off. Or, fill them up from your own home filtration system--those individual plastic water bottles are horrible for you and the environment. I've even heard plastic water bottle users referred to as the new smokers. Klean Kanten bottles are the best I've found yet, and I've tried several brands. Thumbs up!
